Message ... Nissan in Industry, CA. Bottom line is, ATK sells inferior rebuilt engines (especially Z32 engines) and Nissan doesnt want to absorb all the expenses for which ATK is responsible. In fact, Nissan shouldnt have to incurr the costs of ATK's neglegence. Problem: ATK only ships rebuilds, doesnt have a garage to repair thier faulty rebuilds. Solution: ATK needs its own dedicated garage (actually needs a billion garages for all thier shitty engines) for fixing thier inferior engines.

the particular problem with my ATK engine were the VTC intake sprockets. we all know how sensitive those sprockets are, not to mention how expesive they are to replace. Consequntly, i had to walk into ATK headquarters (Santa Ana, CA)--which, fortunately, is only a few miles from my house--and raise hell. This hostile visit to their headquarters is where i made the most and all my progress with my warranty claim against them (ATK). I persuaded ATK to buy pay for two NEW, not used (as they insisted on using more used parts), VTC intake sprockets, and to cooperate with Nissan on labor and other miscellaneous parts such as fan/alt belts.

*ATK uses welded blocks, used parts (e.g., used VTC sprockets on the VGD30DTT ), etc on their rebuilt engines. I hardly call that a rebuilt engine; more appropriately called a resold engine, i.e., a used engine being resold. :(
